Vă rog. Revistele Mami, Superbebe, Mămica de azi, Familia ta, Ioana Visul copiilor (şi, în fine, Coolgirl în unele cazuri): atenţie la mine. “Mamelor din lumea-ntreagă, eu vă dau un singur sfat”. Unde căutăm îndrumare pentru creşterea copiilor? Unde?

E simplu. Luăm frumos o carte în care Bryan Garsten vorbeşte despre locul persuasiunii în politică, Saving Persuasion. Apoi luăm frumos capitolul I, “Against Rhetoric“. De aici, luăm subcapitolul “Persuading without Convincing: Rousseau“, care este despre – v-aţi prins? – Rousseau. Apoi frumos subsubcapitolul “The Rhetoric of Prophetic Nationalism“. în care tipul Bryan îl citează pe tipul Rousseau care tip Rousseau vorbeşte despre educarea copiilor. Era evident.

Şi-apoi, ca să nu pară de nicăerea, iacătă-l pe Rousseau adâncit în probleme mămeşti:

Aşadar, lămuritu-ne-am? “Bătaia e ruptă din rai” capătă acum un cu totul alt sens, căci atunci când îţi îmbraci autoritatea drept voinţă a naturii (sau voinţă divină, oricum răsărită din “the very order of things“), copilaşul tău va avea, învineţit şi posac, senzaţia unei libertăţi morale extraordinare.

Cât despre titlu, întotdeauna mi-am dorit să folosesc acel substantiv.

Te-ai gândit vreodată cum ar arăta un întreg YouTube printat? Departe…nu ar mai avea farmecul dezmăţului cu ritm şi cadre.

Ţi-ai imaginat vreodată cum ar arăta Hi5-ul printat? Un album de necunoscuţi fotografiaţi cu burţile supte cât să lase impresia supleţii…unghiuri făuritoare de nimfe, statusuri care te invită la o partidă de flirt virtual şi cordialitatea cu care se vând unii către alţii…din pagină în pagină.

Rob Matthews în schimb, beneficiind de toată lipsa de repect faţă de fenomentul eco, şi cu toată stima  pentru  internetul care serveşte oricând-orice, a dat Print All la 5000 de pagini de pe Wikipedia. Morala? Wikipedia este mai mult decât o enciclopedie.

I’m comparing the internet Wikipedia to a traditional encyclopedia by putting it in the same format, therefor suggesting that Wikipedia is dysfunctional compared to a normal encyclopedia. This is suggested by how I’ve conveyed Wikipedia physically. compared to a normal encyclopedia the information is a lot less reliable. I wanted to make a comment on how everyone goes to the internet these days for information, yet it is unreliable compared to what it has replaced.
